We just completed Random Acts of Kindness Week. Did you know? You remember that bumper sticker don’t you? A simple little concept that is so wonderful and global… and easy. Perhaps you already knew there is a Foundation? Lesson plans, kits, blogs and websites the world over. Pure Genius. www.kindacts.net When people come together to help others relationships are formed, miracles happen, lives change.
Random Acts of Kindness Week focuses on the spirit of hope and goodness. It is a springboard for action. A time to be open, to act upon thoughts of generosity that arise spontaneously from your heart. Just notice what happens as kindness ripples out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3FtHlHNxRo
The week is an invitation for individuals, schools, community groups, service clubs, businesses, health institutions, schools and churches to join hearts and hands to create a better world. Locally, right here in Bend Oregon, the Junior High Youth Groups from Westside Church were preparing meals for families at The Ronald McDonald House, doing yard work for shut ins and widows, litter patrols, Adopt-A-Blocking, Adopting Soldiers, homeless teens and runaways, prayer walks, clothing and canned food collections, visiting nursing homes and so much more. Enjoying a favorite activity, connecting with people, developing a respect and value for yourself gives you a better understanding of others. Genius. Simple. Truth. (The Healing Power of Kindness: www.kindness.net )

For the next generations and the hope of the future, the eight gifts of kindness must be taught…no…ingrained into our hearts (www.worldkindness.org.sg)
Hope. Goodness. Action. Faith. Kindness. Consider yourself invited to the “kindness revolution”. Consider for yourself how YOU could make a positive difference on this planet that we all call home and just watch the effect your ripple will have when joined together with another and another and…
Until next time, be kind to yourself, Shandra
