She said the S ~word. Tis true. Heard her myself.
She came in late the first morning of the brand New Year. Peaceful. Calm. Confident….Purposeful.
As she pulled into the lot she saw in her mind’s eye the couple, exactly where they would be. Entering the side door locating a seat at the very back she saw them. Standing for the last song , stretching her fingers as h-i-g-h as the y would reach with her short little frame and very high heels ~~~ it was as if The High Voltage of Heaven reached down ~~Ignition.
Making her way purposefully through the crowd, past all distractions, the surprised couple graciously agreed to pray. Even smiling, it seemed, at her specific request as she sat before them, head bowed.. She wished this new year fully to ….s-u-b-m-i-t.
Tis true. She said it. They sealed it. Daily she does it. D-a-i-l-y. The more she receives the truly lovely nature of God, His Son Jesus the more she is wooed by Holy Spirit. The easier it becomes. Abandon Submission. Surrender.
Is there more to tell? Of course… but that, Friends, is for another story…
SUBMITverb~to defer, yield or consent to abide by the opinion or decision of another.
Job 22:21-30 “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. 22 Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. 23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent 24 and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines, 25 then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you. 26 Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. 27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows. 28 What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways.
