Shivering. Yes it’s winter weather Yes turns out I have a major fever. No that’s not the cause.
Just returned from the movie of the same title. Shivering with emotion. With the intensity of it all.
My friend suggested we see it tonight because it was the final showing on the big screen on our side of town. There were 6 of us in the totally silent theater.
Witnessing the struggle, the fight and grit, the perseverance of our heroes.
The kindness, compassion, understanding, modesty (the peasant village women covering the Mother with their own lovely blouse?) the selfishness of others that continually brought waves of emotions and tears.
As the reel began to replay the Tsunami scene my friend and I both covered our eyes thinking aloud, “We can’t watch this again.”
Shivering. Thinking about this season. No not winter, Easter.
Witnessing the struggle, the fight and grit, the perseverance of our Hero.
Do the Impossible for my family? Yes. Your family? Perhaps. For the World…?
Shivering. Weeping. Thankful.
