Nothing Goes To Waste

What a lovely totally “go with the flow” weekend. Very little turned out the way we had planned. Know what? That’s one of my favorites and the best kind, ’cause it’s God’s Plan.

Heading on a new adventure, by now you know blogging friends, is always a favorite of mine. Heading to warmer climates? Always a favorite attraction. Heading for a school interview for son and a  stay with friends? “Like”

Just like God that Rhonda and I were both recovering from major illnesses~injuries, so we were both slow going. When two energizer bunnies are on the mend? Leaves room for sitting and time for connecting. So we did.

When the spring interview for fall school didn’t happen as planned? No worries. Reschedule! Not ones to ‘waste’ a free weekend what shall we do? Create a new adventure in the Trip on The Road? Yes, let’s do it!

As son was graciously preparing to drive (again) friend Rhonda and I were packed; chatting about lifestyles and life lessons. The comment she made? Nothing special, nothing note able til God gets hold of it and Creates  a title and a Gold Nugget.

So here’s a peek at just a bit of what we did with our weekend getaway that turned out not to be the plan but just what we needed.

By the time this posts we may~or may not~ be home. We just may have added another leg to our adventure. That’s just how we roll. Because with me, and certainly with God, you can be sure nothing goes to waste.

  1. Shandra are you moving to Calf to teach. Or are you going to attend teaching at Bethel. God bless your new season. Oh by the way you look wonderful.

    • Thanks for the clarifying question! Actually, at this moment, it is just Andrew who will be interviewing in May for school in the fall. You, Friend, are too kind. Blessings!!!

  3. I loved your son’s photos and yours too. What a wonderful trip, sorry the interview was re-scheduled. I have visited Bethel Redding on a week end twice, and enjoyed it so much, My daughter and I stayed and went through the 9:00am healing rooms. I am glad you did not allow your injury to hold you down! No time to waste. Thank you for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story.
