Can I know that you will wait for me at the finish line?
Standing strong -weathering my storms, arms open wide.
Be my hero, Protect me from the rain.
Light the path before me
A future secured in your embrace.
For life gets messy
when random shrapnel takes its place.
When rules are broken
at the beginning of the end of the race.
At the moment when time stands still
in the shadow of Big Ben’s resounding gong,
some are entering eternity
While some are called to live on.
Tragic is the timing,
though no timing warrants the cause.
A nation unified by senseless activity,
minds whirling in the same pregnant pause.
While I, and the rest of the World, watched in shock. While I, and the rest of the World, battled waves of fear. While I waited for the words to come, Holly penned what I, and the rest of the World, feel. Thank you Friend Holly McKim (An Open Door ). Praying for you and yours this day, here and around The World.
Until next time, Shandra
