Who Is Your Inspiration?

When I was first nominated for my first totally unexpected  blogging ‘award’  (who knew there were awards for doing what you love and comes so naturally?!) a few years ago, i felt I’d “made it”. Recognition, acceptance. Validation. And who knew there were so many rewards? Thankfully I have not been nominated for the illustrious ‘TMI’ award. yet.  A  few of these lovely honors are posted on ‘The Stories’ tab on this blog. I’m still in process of what’s the best way to display these. If it all. Suggestions?

Each subsequent notice has been simply a feeling of contentment. Like you get when you know you’re in His Calling and Passion. When I first began blogging several years ago it was as a very-inspiring-blogger-award-2release and healing for the words, stories, ideas, memories and Dreams bottled up inside. The idea literally coming from several lovely friends, who, after receiving another 100 page email, cleverly disguised as a novella, said brightly (and firmly )”You should blog!”.

Like most of the others you’ll come across we write in the hope that one nugget may help another. But mostly I write for Joy, I tell stories. For Him.

Until Next time, Be Brilliant, Be Beautiful, Be Brave, Shandra

  3. Thank you so much for the nomination, Shandra! You’re really sweet to think of me. I’ll try to do an acceptance, but as I’m leaving Oman in two days, and traveling through Spain and Portugal for a month, I don’t know when I’ll have time. Possibly after I get back to the USA. 🙂

  6. Thank you for seeing that I completed my post, minus the clip art! Thank you for choosing me among all the bloggers you read to be on your list of inspiring writers. You gave me a nice surprise and honor, hope I “did you justice!”

  7. Dear Shandra, thank you and your friends so very much for this honor. I am so glad if my writings inspire you. God bless you, Bob

    Hi Shandra,
I’d like to tell you a little story about how Bob got inspired to write about passages he’s read in Scripture… Mrs. H, way back when, had Bob call her every day, Monday through Friday, after school when he was 16, 17 and 18. During every phone call, she would tell Bob what she had read in the Bible that day and form a prayer from that. THEN, she would ask Bob, “Well, what did YOU learn today from reading the Bible?” So Bob got used to reading and commenting on what he had read. Then, years and years later after Bob moved into a retirement place, he was asked to share the prayer at every Friday lunchtime. Isn’t that a cool story? 🙂 Debb

    • Dear Bob, you are so welcome . It is a privilege to know your story, your daughter-in-law, Debb and hear your Heart for Him. Looking forward to more Mealtime Prayers real soon.:) Shandra
