Wrestling with John

The river rushed over the rocks below. Swallows dipping and diving. I’d not slept well last night. My plan was to grab and go.

The Sweet little coffee shop on Water Street, was thankfully open at this early hour. “To go?” he asked.

“Yes, please”. Then I spotted the Quiche.

“Actually, I’ll sit on the deck if you don’t mind.”

My dark glasses hide the tears.

It’s amazing how fragile Hope & Happiness can be.

A lovely restful weekend ruined?

Wrestling lately with God. With His choices. His decisions.

Wrestling wears one out.

John 21:22

Know that one? Me too.

Love it when everything is going great. Humming right along.

Not so much when one feels there’s been a raw deal.

~~~
The peace of the morning could so easily wash away.
Packing I hear Him again. “What is that to you, Daughter?”
Letting go, Surrender brings Peace.
  2. Strained relationships often must simply be allowed to let go. Parents raise their children and know they will leave the nest, but when it is a parent who is unhappy and wants to leave, something must be worked out so that at least you remain friends. Thanks for sharing at Tell me a Story.
