Peering through sparkling embers, to the distant darkness.

Boxes packed, movers arriving just a few short hours.

Gravel crunching, she’d found herself on the backyard path one last time.

The Family Fire Pit.

How many marshmallows had succumbed? So many s’mores, songs & secrets shared.

How many Dreams, dreamed? Too many more, dead.

They’d weathered a lot, her little Band. Pressing ever onward, they’d  done their best & then some.

Was it enough?

It was just her now.. Dreaming new Life.

Gazing at the Creators starry Universe, a smile crossed her lips.

Only Time Would Tell.
