On the waves of dusk like feather pillow puffs, wispy clouds dance peek a boo with the rising moon. Screeching tentacled branches grasp, as if to suction the life from anything within reach. Howling winds die down only rise again with their banshee scream.
How long has he waited? For the ecstacy of sweet release. Death. Darkness. Freedom. Plunging now headlong upward. Scrambling for breath. For existence. As a man suddenly fighting to surface, too long in the depths of murky waste. Gasping to Live. Too late has his fight changed. His will to live now strong. Death will not be cheated.
