Mondays Finish the Story: a flash fiction challenge where we provide you with a new photo each week, and the first sentence of a story. Your challenge is to finish the story using 100-150 words, not including the sentence provided.

Finish the story this week, begins with:  “I see absolutely everything.”

“I see absolutely everything” the mighty Dragon whispered.
“Deep below, the legends go, a mighty warrior lives. Dark smoldering eyes the better to see YOU with!” How many nights had she told this tale to her children. Now theirs? Tingles danced her spine, recalling that first night, lost in the forest. She fell across the stump laying there. A young girl alone. Distressed sobs quieting as she finally dozed. When the stump moved she thought it a dream. When the eye opened she nearly lost her skin. The Dragon spoke. She squeaked a scream. “Hush child” the Warrior Dragon said. “be Still, now. They’re searching for you even now.” From that day forth she had told tales of fear and trembling to keep the townsfolk away. While she slipped away from time to time to The Lair of her old friend. Her own private sanctuary.

Happy to be a first time linker-upper~~~Word Count 145~~~
