The Story Teller

“As you dream so shall you become”

Moving for schooling and promotion took The Storyteller’s family from Texas to Kentucky to the lush green of the Oregon Willamette Valley where she lived her entire life in the same small town (not counting roads trips every summer to Texas and most of the  US.). Still life revolved in and around about an 80 mile small town radius.

A dreamer, romantic, writer, singer (really just a humalonger) an adventurer,an extrovert in disguise.
Twelve 15 years ago the greatest adventure began. Life changing move. Life changing friends, Life changing God.  The move from that small hometown began opening doors, changing lives, requiring great Courage and greater Faith.
A calling, a mission,  unity builder, loving life, believing for more. Today .
Growth, service, fun, happiness, seasons. Worhipper, pray~er. Teacher,  world ~traveller~ to~ be. Two grown sons, one future daughter in law, amazing church, even more amazing God, life-long friends, lovely life in lovely Central Oregon, travels, hopes, dreams, expectantly waiting, gaining strength, building momentum for just the right time of release.
My daily decision is to deepen my relationship with God, His Word and His People.
dream on!
Dream On!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:4-7

  1. Wow, Shandra, this is beautiful! But I didn’t think you were old enough to have any children, let alone two grown sons! 🙂 By the way, without knowing it, you encouraged me to have a quiet time this morning. Thank you; it was wonderful. I found some more good verses that I can write about for my daily devotional book I will finish some day. 🙂 Bless you!

  2. haha a humalonger! That is one excellent way to describe my “singing” attempts as well. Thanks for the great post and cheers, peace and blessings on your continued stories!

  3. Enjoyed reading this! I was transplanted from Tennessee to Oregon (lived in Spfld 11 yrs, Bend two different times, Salem 1 year, North Carolina, Arizona and Idaho for over 20 years now! Hit some big bumps in the road during all of this, but I continue to look for God’s will through it all. I loved Central Oregon. Hope our paths cross sometime…maybe at a conference?

    • The Pacific NW is such a different culture and climate than Southern Life, right?! So appreciate your stopping by and commenting. I do hope we cross paths , I’ll watch for you Mary Ann! Shandra
